The New Pride of Maserati Rolls Out

The all-new 2008 Maserati GranTurismo is grand
tourer produced by Italian automaker Maserati. It was presented at the Geneva
Motor Show in March 2007. It is a 2-door, 4-passenger luxury sports car,
available in one trim only, the Coupe. Many design components are based from
another grand tourer, the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano.
The GranTurismo is equipped with a standard 4.2-liter, V8,
405-horsepower engine that achieves 13-mpg in the city and 19-mpg on the
highway. A 6-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard. This awfully
cleverly designed chassis makes the GranTurismo very responsive in corners and
easy to drive fast.
It is described by reviewers as a
“muscular and sporty car that can be enjoyed every day”. Maserati automobiles
had become associated with a distinctive concave grille with chrome vertical
fillets. This car's body-style is an engineering masterpiece. Its styling is so
seductive that any person who got passed by couldn’t afford to miss the chance
of taking a photograph of it with their cell phones.
This new Maserati received great
compliment for its overall fit and finish. It has high-quality leather and
wood, as well as chrome accents on the dashboard.
“Standard interior comfort and convenience features include leather
upholstery and a navigation system, as well as a Bose AM/FM/CD audio system
with eleven speakers. Both the audio and navigation systems are linked to a
voice-activated control system.”
Anti-lock brake system (ABS), the
2008 GranTurismo features Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD), Traction
Control, stability control, tire-pressure monitoring system, and a parking
distance sensor are the cars safety features.
