Experience the Superiority of the New Hummer H2
The Hummer H2 SUV is the second vehicle
sold under the Hummer marque of General Motors Corporation. It was first
launched in 2003. It uses the GMT820
platform same as the Tahoe, Escalade and Suburban.
For 2008,
the HUMMER H2 SUV obtains its first major redesign since its foundation. “The 2008 H2 SUV is a 4-door, up to
7-passenger luxury sport-utility, available in 3 trims, ranging from the Base
to the Luxury. Both trims are equipped with a standard 6.2-liter, V8,
393-horsepower engine. A 6-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is
standard.” The H2 gets mostly positive performance reviews due to the
strong engine that really makes a big difference. A
four-wheel-drive system makes the H2 capable of traveling the most challenging
off-road situations.
The main style-changes are mostly
based on the front end. The grille openings have grown for the vehicle to have
a better air movement. The lower bumper had already been painted silver for
bolder look.
With the revised interior comes
an available 2-passenger 3rd-row seat. Dennis Burke, H2’s interior designers
describes it as “having a refined,
premium feel while maintaining Hummer’s trademark ruggedness”. On previous
model, the H2 is somehow known for hard plastics and questionable construction,
but now it exhibits very soft-touch surfaces and enormously improved fit and
finish.
“Standard safety features include head
curtain airbags for all three rows, electronic stability control w/roll
mitigation, panic brake assist, tire pressure monitoring and OnStar.”
Even without going off-road,
there's no denying that driving an H2 is an experience.
